Keyholder Making – February 2020

April 18, 2020

We started a Keyholder Making Class, another empowerment program, at the beginning of February. These keyholders are popular items for many tourists to South Africa. In order to help the underprivileged in Mamelodi, we launched this start-up project. They can learn a useful skill in making handcrafts to sell. We were blessed to have found a local artist, Johnathan, who can teach our students the basics. Both teacher and students enjoy the weekly activity very much. It takes a lot of patience and practice. The end result is beautiful! It’s amazing what we can do with a bit of wire and plastic beads!
