We have also set up a program for unemployed women in the area. In this program, women will be trained with skills such as beading and sewing. Through this program, we hope that they are able to earn extra living.
- Young Women Computer Class Under our Women Empowerment Program, we started our Young Women Computer Class in the beginning of June 2016. The class runs every Wednesday morning. Women from the age of 15 to 27 have joined our class. They are very eager to learn a new skill which can help them to find job opportunities. One of our local sisters volunteers as the instructor. She teaches with much passion, and the classes are lively and fun!
- We also hold a Bible fellowship right after each class. In the previous fellowships, all the women enjoyed our songs, games and life changing messages. They were responsive and willing to share their challenges in life. We are more than happy to give guidance to them. They were very touched by the genuine love and care of our brothers and sisters. Even our local sisters had good opportunities to share their testimonies to which they all can relate.
- Women’s Program 2016 Light and Love Home is providing sewing classes for women program, where beneficiaries learn basic sewing techniques such as the “overlock” and “back stitch”. The skills they learn are useful and practical, since they can now mend the holes and rips in their old clothing instead of having to buy new ones. Learning how to sew is not an easy task, which makes for a great opportunity in training the beneficiaries’ patience. Friendships are made in the process of learning and teaching.
